Blessed Baby

We finally were able to bless Ainsley a few weeks ago.  We have never waited this long to bless one of our babies but it seemed like it just kept getting pushed back.  We were lucky enough to have some of our family and friends come to celebrate with us.

A few of things that she was blessed with that really stood out to me were that she would be a joy and blessing to her family, that she would be an example of obedience and that she would bring peace to her home.  Also, that she would be good friends with her brothers and sisters.  I think these things stood out to me because I can already see these things in her personality and in the way she interacts with her family.

Having four kids is a bit crazy and its not something I imagined for myself but I couldn't be happier with my little family and our new addition.  She is just the coolest little girl that I have ever met and I am so excited to watch her continue to grow and develop.

Life Goes On

Despite the evidence on this blog life has in fact gone on since Ainsley was born.  She is by far our best baby.  She is happy most of the time, she sleeps and she deals well with being loved by her siblings.  She is such an awesome little girl.

We celebrated Christmas

Most of the cousins

Christmas Jammies

We celebrated Todd and Eden's Birthdays

Yes those are matches... I couldn't find the candles anywhere
Ainsley met her name sake
 We played in the snow
snow tubing

Todd's snowboard adventure
Crazy Kiddos

 They had a sledding adventure

We celebrated Kensie's birthday

I can't believe my baby girl is 5!

Life has been super busy with both of us in school and Todd working on the side.  These kids keep us tired and crazy but we sure do love them.

Ainsley

I picked her birthday for a couple of reasons.  My due date was October 26th but I wanted to have a November baby.  There is only one November birthday on either side of mine and Todd's families.  Also, I wanted to get past Halloween so that Todd didn't have to take the kids trick 'o treating by himself.  Everyone thought I was crazy to go past my due date but I've always thought that babies are easier in than out.

Boy was I wrong this time.  This is the only pregnancy where I've gotten to the point where I've just been done with being pregnant.  By the time the day came I was so ready to not be pregnant.  Its a hard thing to look forward to for me because the recovery is such a pain.  I was looking forward to a month later when I would hopefully feel normal again.

She was born first thing in the morning.  I worked on my homework while I waited for the time to come.  When they were putting in my spinal I got zinged twice.  I'm not sure exactly what happens but it basically felt like was I was being shocked and it hurt like heck.  Plus, I had to hold still which is not so easy when you're in pain.  When she was born she was taken straight to the NICU before I even got to see her.

Todd took some pictures of her so I could see what she looked like but I didn't get to go to the NICU for 6 hours.  She reminded me of my other babies and she was beautiful.  It was hard to see her with the IV and oxygen in her nose but I was glad she was in such good hands.  The kids couldn't go in the NICU but they were able to see her from the doorway.  It was so hard for them to not be able to see their new baby sis.

We both finally got to go home and be taken care of my Grandma.  Ainsley did great for a few days and just slept until she decided that she really likes to be held.  Luckily Grandma is a great baby holder and I'm pretty sure Ainsley may have preferred Grandma to Mom.

Kensie thinks she is a little momma herself and wants to take care of her sis whenever she can.  She doesn't want to do the things I ask her just what she wants but its still helpful most of the time.  Xander loves her little tiny feet and always wants to tickle them.  I'm pretty sure Eden thinks she is a puppy and is always petting her hair.  They don't always like sharing their mom but they love their little sister.

a little gross but I think its actually a pretty cool picture

Happy Happy Birthday Eden Dear!

I can't believe my baby girl is one.  It has been a crazy year but I am so glad she is part of our family.  She is finally starting to sleep in her crib and she is almost walking.  We celebrated her birthday with a dinner at Chick-fil-A and a fun birthday party.

She loved her Ice Cream

Her Caterpillar cake

Her very own ladybug cake

She wasn't too big into her cake and did not like being dirty.  She loved her big day!

Its your Birthday... Shout Hooray!

Todd had his birthday a few weeks ago.  I was the best wife in the world and gave him a brother getaway weekend for his big day.  His little brother Kirk came to visit and they went to the Jazz-Kings game in Utah.  They got to stay in a hotel and go out to dinner and have a completely kid free fun day.

Kirk got a Todd a Jazz jersey for his birthday.

After they got home we had a fun dinner with all his favorites and stayed up half the night playing games.

Eden

This is Eden... She has crazy hair. Her hair is long and all over the place.

Sometimes we put it in a ponytail so she looks semi-normal but thats only when we remember and we have a ponytail holder around.

So I decided to cut it. I cut off about 3 inches in a very hurried and rushed minute

Now she is blonde but super cute and you can actually see her face

Sometimes she likes to steal her sister's pudding and spread it all over the place
