I saw this on a friend's blog and thought it was a cool idea

Baby Tankini and a Bumbo Chair

Kensington is always trying to sit up so I finally broke down and bought her a bumbo chair. I think they are incredibly overpriced but we have this great kid's consignment shop and they had one for half the price so we got it. While we shopping I was looking at the clearance rack and found the cutest tankini. I'm pretty big on modesty most of the time but it was so cute and shes just a baby so I bought it for her. We haven't actually taken her swimming in it yet but I couldn't wait to put it on her.


She loves her new bumbo chair. She keeps trying to launch herself out of it but she likes being able to sit up. Her little thighs are almost to chubby to fit in the leg holes which is just hilarious to me. I hope she doesn't get too big for it before she learns to sit up on her own.

Vacation!!!

I was starting to miss my family a little bit so we decided to head to Washington for the 4th. Todd had never been there before so we were both pretty excited. Kensington did great on the airplane. I was a little nervous but she fell asleep before the plane took off and didn't wake up until after we landed.
We spent the first day in Seattle and Bellevue. Seattle was incredibly crowded so we only stayed for a a couple of hours. It turned out to be more of a driving tour than a walking tour because we were both so tired. I got to see some old friends and were able to walk around the temple grounds. They were doing work on the steeple so it looked a little unusual but it was still nice.

We spent the 4th at my sister Erin's house. She lives out in this little small town that is pretty country. Its wet enough there that fireworks are legal. They had a huge bonfire in the back yard and spent hours setting off fireworks.
We ended up getting bumped off our return flight so we got another day in Washington. Erin came up to my parent's house with the kiddos we hung out for an extra day. Erin has 3 boys and a little girl that is 6 weeks older than Kensington. It was fun to see the 2 babies together. They have similarities but they are also so different.

We had a great trip. It was so nice to see my family and take some time off work. I can't wait until we get to do it again.
